Through the work of Pregnancy Care Center (PCC), you can help more families like Allison, Manasseh, and Hezekiah by giving this Christmas season.
When the world was filled with uncertainty in 2020, Allison found herself facing a double dose of shock and confusion: she was unexpectedly pregnant with not one, but two babies. Although she was excited to become a mom, having twins created a lot of questions in Allison’s mind.
“You’ve got twice the clothes, twice the diapers, twice the formula. How am I going to feed these kids? How am I going to hold two babies? How am I going to give two babies the attention that they need? It was just a flurry of questions that were unanswered.” -Allison
Having limited support, and very little knowledge about infant care, Allison began looking for resources to help ease her anxieties. At the recommendation of a friend, Allison came to PCC.
She immediately engaged with our program, taking classes that provided her with the practical information she needed to build her confidence. She was also matched with a volunteer coach, who happened to be a grandmother to twins.
“There’s a lot of emotions and sometimes even trauma that can come with being pregnant. And in my situation, it was an unplanned pregnancy, but because I had that coach and because I had that support system, it kept it from turning into a crisis pregnancy.” -Allison
Four years later, Allison’s coach is still in her life, giving her encouragement and spiritual mentorship as she raises her beautiful twin boys, Hezekiah and Manasseh.
At PCC, our services don’t start and stop at a simple pregnancy confirmation. Through our compassionate, holistic approach, we seek to help our clients live an abundant life by providing them ongoing, compassionate care in a judgment-free environment.
As this sweet family celebrates life at its fullest, we want to join them in thanking YOU, our partners, for your generosity and compassion in saving lives and strengthening families right here in our community.
Isaiah 61:7 prophecies of the coming Messiah, promising that instead of shame and confusion, God’s people would have “double their portion and everlasting joy.” That is exactly our prayer for our clients—that through the love of Jesus, their shame and confusion would be transformed into blessings and joy.
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, I invite you to join us in praying for our clients to experience the peace, hope, and life that came to earth as the result of an unplanned pregnancy over 2,000 years ago. Thank you for helping us save lives and strengthen families through your faithful partnership.
Merry Christmas may God bless you and your family this holiday season!
