We wanted to update you on PCC’s response to COVID-19 and the recommended precautions we are taking to mitigate our client’s exposure to and transmission of the virus.
Serving our clients with excellence is always our top priority, even as we face this new virus. Our Nurse Director, Cheryl, and our Medical Director, Dr. Marc McCorcle, have developed specific client screening processes and increased in-center sanitizing protocols have already gone into effect.
All non-client service personnel will be working remotely for the foreseeable future, which we will reevaluate each week, with guidance from the CDC and public health officials. You may still reach our team via email or by calling the center, as calls can be transferred to remote employees’ cell phones.
All PCC classes, both in the center and at Dream Center, have been canceled through March 27th, at which time we will reevaluate.
Recent announcements from the CDC and Governor Parson’s office have strongly suggesting canceling all events with more than 50 persons in attendance. This ban is expected to be in place for eight weeks. This development has forced us to adjust our plans for the 20th Anniversary Banquet, which was scheduled for April 17th.
Our Development team is diligently checking into alternate dates as well as a live-streaming option. In the meantime, we will need to close registration. We will communicate with you about the Banquet as soon as we have additional details.
I’m asking that you would pray for protection and peace for the families we serve and the volunteers and staff who offer them hope and help every day. Pray also for wisdom and guidance for the PCC staff and Board of Directors as we make plans in the coming weeks amidst this fluid situation.
As always, thank you for your partnership, and God bless you!
