Reaching for You: Written and Directed by Robin Harrison

On June 12th and 13th, students from Grace Classical Academy (GCA) performed a play entitled Reaching for You that explores the realities of unplanned pregnancy and the tragic consequences of abortion.  Written and directed by Mrs. Robin Harrison, Reaching for You was a labor of love for her and the entire cast, incorporating countless hours of research and personal interviews with women of various ages and backgrounds who had experienced unplanned pregnancy and abortion, including some PCC team members.

GCA staff and students have supported PCC’s mission of saving lives and strengthening families in various ways through the years, including visiting the center to learn more about our services as well as raising funds and volunteering for our annual Walk for Life.  During these experiences, they were impacted by PCC’s compassionate approach and the thousands of babies whose lives have been saved while their parents received support and resources they would have otherwise gone without.

And through PCC’s post-abortion recovery program, women who have had abortions come to understand that there is healing and hope for them, that forgiveness and self-acceptance are available through the love of Jesus.

We applaud these talented young people for using their voices to show our community the importance of valuing every human life and, collectively, creating a culture of life. The PCC staff members who attended were moved to tears and encouraged by the outstanding performance.

Down to the smallest details, Reaching for You captured and portrayed the nuances and complexities of unplanned pregnancy and the driving forces behind why women choose abortion in our culture. We appreciate our partnership with GCA and are excited to see how this pro-life generation will influence our culture in the years to come.
