2019 Has Been A Remarkable Year

Posted on Thursday, January 9th, 2020

As the year comes to an end, we are deeply grateful for all that God has done for and through PCC and for the faithful support of partners like you. Thanks to your generosity, we continue to offer hope and practical help to thousands of young people and their children.

We wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some of the achievements we are celebrating as we reflect on 2019.

1. Named Nonprofit of the Year

PCC was named Southwest Missouri Nonprofit of the Year (medium division) at the Southwest Missouri Nonprofit Excellence Awards.

2. Financial Accreditation

PCC’s financial practices and fundraising processes received national accreditation with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). Include ECFA hyperlink.

3. Continued Debt Reduction

PCC continues to make significant progress on paying off our mortgage, which is our only debt, and are committed to not using lines of credit.

4. 2019 Banquet

The 2019 Banquet was one of the largest banquets in our history, both in attendance and in fundraising for the mission. We look forward to celebrating with you at our 20th Anniversary Banquet, which will be a two-night event, next April 17th and 18th.

5. Center Tours

In 2019, more community members and PCC partners took the opportunity to tour the center and experience firsthand what their support is accomplishing. We hosted hundreds of tours, including those we offer at the annual Walk for Life. Schedule Your Own Tour

6. Increased Individual Engagement

We continue to see increased engagement among individuals, both in event attendance and financial giving. PCC is truly blessed with faithful monthly partners and thousands of community ambassadors throughout our community.

7. Strong Church Partnerships

Throughout 2019, pro-life discussions have again factored prominently into the state and national landscape, and we have experienced renewed solidarity with our church partners. January is National Sanctity of Human Life month, which allows us to visit many of our church partners in person.

8. Client Marketing

In 2019, we launched a new client website focused on a simpler, clearer message and improved communication tools. We are seeing a significant increase in the number of client inquiries through the website, which allows our team of coaches and nurses to respond quickly.

9. Client Texting Service

It’s important that we communicate with clients using their preferred methods. So we implemented a new HIPAA-compliant text messaging service which allows clients to contact the center via text message 24 hours a day.

10. Expanding Education

We are experiencing increased attendance in our more than 20 class offerings. And the surveys indicate that 98% of our clients feel the information is valuable and that they can apply the principles to their everyday lives, a necessary step in building strong families.

11. Exponential Growth in Fatherhood Program

The demand for our fatherhood services is growing exponentially, and we are passionate about helping young men become strong, stable dads. Over the last two years, we have gone from serving 48 fathers to 378 so far this year.

12. Improved Communication with Partners

In addition to our new client website, we also revamped our partner and community website, which has provided more effective and efficient ways to communicate with you. We are now sending a monthly partner email update and a quarterly Director report. Click here to receive these communications.

As you know, serving more clients means we need more support than ever before. We are grateful for all God has done this year and are excited about the future and the progress we are making in fulfilling our mission to save lives and strengthen families.

We owe so much of it to your faithful support.

Thank you, and Happy New Year!
